Steve has a broad range of top level presenting skills ... from calming a nervous interviewee ... to tearing one up! Always entertaining, his regular Saturday outside broadcasts were a must and had a real local flavour. He also helped me make otherwise dry Council initiatives important to ordinary townsfolk and played no small part in improving local business confidence during my tenure. Steve's ambitious IT configuration meant that regular listeners were largely unaware of unmanned night-time systems and the use of networked material.
